New Equipment!!!

Just a quick announcement about the installation of our new automatic case making machine. It is a GP Technologies machine that will enable Book1One to greatly increase our ability and speed in making hard covers for books.
What this will mean for our customers is faster turn times for getting their books finished and in their hands. The machine is already on line and producing covers as we write!!

yearbooks

We had a great yearbook season this year and we utilize a procedure that gives the book great strength and durability throughout the life of the book. And through our web site we were contacted by schools as far away as SeaTac Washington. Two high schools, as a matter of fact, in the same school district had their yearbooks done with Book one. If you're looking for the perfect outlet for supplying your school's yearbooks either in hard cover or soft, Book1One should be at the top of your list

Combination covers

For all of our self publishing friends who have asked us if you can use the same cover material to make soft cover books as is used to make hard cover, the answer is yes.
    We've done this for those wanting to have their thesis bound. They wanted two copies for the University in hard cover and four or five copies for friends but wanted them in the same material only in a soft version.
    Just another alternative we wanted our customers to know about

File converting

Greetings,
     I just wanted to add a little tip about files that people send for Book1One to print from. What prompted this was, a client had his word doc file in standard 8.5x11 and he wanted to have his book as a 5.5x8.5.
    When he converted his file to PDF it was an 8.5x11 and we couldn't just 'reduce' it without compromising the page breaks and the size of the print.
    So the tip is make sure that the PDF file you send for printing is to the size that you want the book. It will save a lot of time and reworking later in the process..

Blog intro

Book1One Blog

Greetings and welcome to the Book1One blog. We’re fairly new to this so, let me tell you a little about us.

We are a high quality book manufacturer that specializes in smaller run quantities of both soft and hard cover binding. We will run anywhere between 1 and 1000 books which makes us very effective for Thesis binding, medical journals, legal and real estate binding which we currently do quite a bit of.

We help many people that want to produce their books in smaller quantities, without having to go through a publisher.

We will be updating our blog periodically and encourage all to contribute in getting the ball rolling. We’ll have special articles and tips for all those budding writers on book layout as we get underway. Thanks to all and let’s build some books together!!
